Ads will not be delivered just by setting up the ad campaign and submitting the creative. At SmartNews, we put user experience first, and review ads based on certain standards in order to display appropriate ads. Therefore, only ads that have passed our creative and LP (landing page) review can be delivered

Since the application for review is reviewed for each campaign, if you submit multiple creatives, all creatives within the target campaign will be subject to review, and only creatives that have been reviewed and approved can be delivered.
New creative submissions and campaign settings cannot be changed during creative review. You can change it by waiting for the review to be completed or by canceling the review.
Applying for review
After completing the campaign details and creative settings, submit your application for review.
1Select [キャンペーン設定] (Campaign Settings) from [広告設定](Ad Settings) in the upper menu.
2Click the name of the campaign for which you want to apply for review.
3Click [審査申請] (Apply for Review) at the top.
*If you press [審査取り下げ] while the application is being reviewed, it will return to the status before the review.
Reviews will usually be completed within 2-3 business days. Once complete, you will be notified by email.
In addition, re-application is required in the following cases.
- When there is no change in the destination URL but the site design of the LP (landing page) is changed
- When the destination URL changes but a redirect takes place
Checking review status
1Select [キャンペーン設定] (Campaign Settings) from [広告設定](Ad Settings) in the upper menu.
2Check [クリエイティブ審査ステータス] (Creative Review Status) on the right side of the displayed campaign list.
Depending on the review status, the following will be displayed.
Review status color code
Green: reviewed and approved
Yellow: under review
Red: Not reviewed
*Numbers indicate the number of creative entries at each review stage.
Steps to take after passing the review
Delivery will not start automatically after the review is completed. Advertisers must take the following actions to begin delivery.
1 Select [キャンペーン設定] (Campaign Settings) from [広告設定] (Ad Settings) in the upper menu.
2Click the name of the campaign you wish to begin delivering.
3Set [配信] (Delivery) to [ON] on the left side of the creative you want to start distributing.
In addition, the comments written in the e-mail in the case of rejection are general examples, and may not cover the entirety of your specific case.
In addition, regardless of whether or not there is a conflict with our ads standards, due to complaints or non-display requests from SmartNews users, the delivery of advertisements may be halted or the distribution volume may be restricted without prior notice after ad delivery has begun.
Steps to take if your creative does not pass review
Once the campaign review is complete, we will notify you by email that the review has been completed.
Please check the results of the review on the ad admin console.
If you want to make corrections and reapply, follow the process described below.
1Select [広告マネージャーβeta] (Ads Manager Beta) from [広告設定] (Ad Settings) in the top menu.
2Click the target campaign name.
3Check [審査NG] (Review Not Passed)] from the filter.
4Check the creative you wish to modify and press [コピー](Copy).
*Only one creative can be selected at a time.
5Modify images, text, destination URL, etc. based on the listed reason for failure.
6[クリエイティブを追加する](Add creative).Click
7Click [審査申請][Apply for Review] at the top of the campaign overview page.
Finding out why a creative did not pass the review
For reasons why your review was rejected, click on the area displayed within the red frame of the creative that failed the review to display the review results.
