Overview

Standard Ads distributes app install advertisements to users who do not have an IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers).

What does "app install ad delivery to users without IDFA" mean?

This is a function that delivers advertisements for app installation to users without IDFAs, such as iOS users who have not given ATT (App Tracking Transparency) permission.

Please note that this function is only available for campaigns that use AppsFlyer or Adjust as a conversion measurement tool.

Specs

  • App install ads can be delivered to users without IDFA.
  • Supported MMPs (mobile measurement partners) are Adjust and AppsFlyer.
  • Conversion measurement using probabilistic measurement of MMP is possible.
    *Settings are required for each MMP, so settings must be made by the agency/advertiser. For details, see the setup method for the desired MMP.

How to Configure Settings

1Create a campaign with "App Installations" as the objective.
2Configure any audience and distribution settings.
*Please note that if you have set targeting or exclusion of "audience using IDFA" as a user-defined audience, the app install ad delivery function to users without IDFA will not work.
3.In the campaign information input field, select Adjust or AppsFlyer under “Conversion measurement tool.”
4After selection you will be able to select the "Delivery of App installation to users without IDFA" option. To do so, select [オン] (On).
5On the MMP admin console, set conversion (estimation) to be posted back. For details,  see the setup method for the desired MMP.

Notes

  • If you are using Adjust or AppsFlyer's conversion (estimated) feature, the conversion value will automatically be the sum of conversion (estimated) + conversion, even for campaigns other than app install ads for users without IDFA.
  • Since the release of iOS14.5, if you set the delivery function to users without IDFA to ON without setting the Probabilistic measurement function on the MMP side, the number of users to whom the ad is delivered will be maintained or increased, but installation from users without IDFA will not be posted back. CPI (Cost per Install) may rise. Please be sure to set up the MMP side at the agency/advertiser before distributing.
  • If you choose "upload mobile advertising ID list" and "set by specifying an app event" in the audience settings, user distribution without IDFA will not be applied.
