Submitting video ads
The following settings are for submitting a single creative. If you want to submit multiple creatives at once, please use CSV submission as well. For more information on CSV submission, please refer to CSV Submission (Creative Submission).
1From the top menu, click [広告設定] (Ad Settings) and choose [キャンペーン設定] (Campaign Settings)
2Select your desired campaign
3.1Click [新規クリエイティブを入稿する] (Submit a New Creative)
3.2You may also submit a creative directly from the campaign creation page
4Add video files by dragging and dropping
*You may also set a still image (1280 x 720) to be displayed after the video has finished playing.
If you do not set a still image, the video will display the first scene of the video when stopped.
5Enter the headline, advertiser name, creative name, and destination URL.
*The number of possible characters is as follows (regardless of full-width half-width).
- Headline (10 to 28 characters)
- Advertiser name (up to 11 characters)
- Creative name (up to 64 characters)
*There are no prohibited symbols, and changes can be made while the ad is live (not directly related to ad screening).
6Select whether to display a Call To Action (CTA).

Notes
Heading/Description text
- Italics are not allowed.
- Machine-dependent characters and multiple consecutive symbols are not allowed.
- Line breaks cannot be specified.
- If the entire headline cannot be displayed, your ad may be displayed with a "..." to indicate that is has been shortened.
- For prohibited expressions etc., please refer to Ad Standards.
Advertiser name
- Do not use overly attention-grabbing brackets such as [ ].
- Only the name of the company or product featured in the ad may be used.
- In rare cases, names that exceed nine characters may be shortened.
- Machine-dependent characters cannot be used.
- Names may not be modified after submission.
- The "advertiser name" displayed under the delivered ad will be the "advertiser name" described in the creative information (the advertiser name in the campaign information will not be used for delivery).
Destination URL
- Since URLs are subject to screening, it may be necessary to make corrections after submission.
- Deep linking/Onelink are not officially supported and their functionality cannot be guaranteed.
Video creative
- The final video is not the video file submitted as it is, but the one that has been re-encoded by SmartNews.
- There is no guaranteed display area for video creatives, and the submitted creative will be posted as is (100% display).
- Logos and screen captures from television shows, etc. may not be used even if permission has been granted from the copyright owner.
Call to Action
- Depending on the "Campaign Purpose" you select when creating a campaign, the Call To Action button will be displayed in the same way on the feed page (ChannelView) and article page (SmartView); if you do not select a purpose, it will be hidden, and if you select a purpose, it will be displayed as is.
- There is no difference in how the Call To Action button is displayed on the feed page (ChannelView) and article page (SmartView) depending on whether it is video, still image, or carousel ad (Story creative).
- The Call To Action button may not be displayed depending on the type of screen or device being used.
- The Call To Action button can only be changed for web items.
*For App creatives, select [表示する] (Display) and leave the label blank (the display will be automatically set to "Install").
Regarding automatic playback of videos
- The default setting for automatic playback of in-app ads is "Always".
Regarding creative names
- Changing the creative name will not trigger a re-screening.
